Phlebotomy:
This 8 week hybrid course; both online and in class experience. The phlebotomy course is designed for students to understand and be knowledgeable to successfully pass the Certification exam and be competent to begin a phlebotomy healthcare career in any setting. The class will be strictly online and optional zoom sessions with professor will be available to you every Friday at 7:00pm ETA. The course will be at your own pace, but you must complete ALL course work by August 31, 2023 @ 2359.

Phlebotomy laboratory:
The lab is IN CLASS  learning and is REQUIRED to complete the course. Lab designed for students to experience the hands-on application of clinical and professional procedures required as part of the competency and outcomes established by the Standards and Guidelines for Phlebotomy Program. Students are required to come to the lab during week 5 through 8. It is designed for students wishing to enter the healthcare industry or advance from an existing entry level healthcare position. This course provides students with readiness by successfully completing 25 venipuncture and 5 fingerstick. 

Students completing and passing Phlebotomy course and Lab will be able to sit for the Registered Phlebotomy Technician national exam. Prerequisite for program and qualifications for Phlebotomy Certifications is a High School Diploma. To successfully complete an accredited phlebotomy training program; you MUST have at least 25 documented successful venipunctures and 5 documented skin punctures and a current ASPT membership. CPR certification is a part of the curriculum and AHA cards will be given out at the end of the completed course.

 

Full curriculum will be given via google classroom. During orientation you will be given access to google using a provider email and password. 

Schedule:
-Class starts June 26, 2023
-Optional Zoom Every Friday at 7pm on June 30th, July 7th, 14th, 21st, 2023

-Lab: August 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th, 2023 from 10am -3pm
-CPR Certification: August 18, 2023 
-Certification Exam must be taken within 3 months after completion of course or no later than 11/30/2023
-Orientation will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 7:00pm on Google Meet. Invites for google meets will be sent out on Monday, June 26, 2023.

**Students who are in high school may still take our phlebotomy class but must wait until they have obtained their high school diploma or GED to sit for the certification exam.


-Students must show proof of your high school diploma or GED
-Students must show proof of vaccinations for Hepatitis B vaccinations. If not, then you must sign a declination form of Hepatitis B vaccination. Please note that some jobs require employees to have Hep B vaccinations.

AGAPE Medical Training Center now offers payment plans but must be PAID IN FULL before Lab by July 31st. If payment is not paid in full, you will not be allowed to participate in lab and will not be allow to take your certification exam. 

 

**NO REFUNDS are allowed.**

 

 

-If you are unable to attend labs you will not be able to sit for examinations. Neither will you be able to get a refund. You must wait until next semester to complete the lab portion of class.
-Course fee includes initial certification exam only, CPR certification, lab, and course. If you are unsuccessful in passing certification exam, you will be responsible for retake fee.
